Kelly Brook is planning to make an emotional return to Strictly Come Dancing in the show's Christmas special.

Kelly, 28, was a favourite to win last year's series but had to pull out when her father died.

The model and actress was devastated when dad Kenneth Parsons, 57, lost his battle against lung cancer. But Kelly is determined to take to the floor again.

The star - also signed up for I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here - spoke of her plans at her brother Damian's wedding earlier this month.

Army corporal Damian, 26, married long-time love Kelly Pitcher at Upnor Castle, near Rochester, Kent, where he and Kelly grew up.

Kelly, stunning in a pink satin shift dress, was beaming as she told guests that the BBC had asked her to take part in the Christmas special. One on-looker said: "She was sad her father couldn't be there to celebrate with them but was really happy to have signed up for the Christmas show."

Kelly, who has split from actor fiance Billy Zane, 42, put in some practice for her dancing role. The onlooker said: "She was picking up the children and swinging them around on the floor."
